This Tool was designed and Built By David Lazenby who started to learn his trade in the RAF as a mechanic.
After leaving the RAF he went to work at Lotus Racing, under Colin Chapman, and worked with, among other people, the racing driver Jim Clark in the 1960's. One of the proudest moments was in 1965, when Lotus (with Jim Clark driving, and David Lazenby as chief mechanic) won the Indianapolis 500 race in the US. Soon after Jim Clark's death in 1967, David left Lotus and started up Hawk Racing cars - designing and building Formula Ford racing cars. For various reasons outside his control, David had to close down Hawk racing.
He then started up Pace Products and has developed it into the successful company it is today. Below are some photos of David at the Indy 500 race circuit in 1965 "Master of Mechanics"
